Torrent dreambox port
Ok I get you now, so if I put a f line into my ccam and then check the port again I will know. I was also have one more question: I set up a no-ip host, but I was wondering what ip addres do I put in.
I read somewhere that I put in the address of my router. So, I put in the local ip of my router, And then in a friends cline I would put: myserver. Thanks a lot ramjet, I have spent so long trying to figure all these things out.
Thanks a lot ramjet, I have spent so long trying to figure all these things out dyndns and no-ip require your router or pc to login periodically and inform them of your actual ISP ip address , not your router ip your friend would have your hostname , port , name and password in his line , so he connects to no-ip , and is forwarded to your server as the host knows your isp ip address the router then forwards it to the port server your dm I think you need more than just an F line as I think you would have to have the emu sending from a card , worth a try without a card but I am assuming it needs an active cs going out 9 not just an F line in the cfg.
Ok, thats great, I understand. Thanks a lot Do you know how to set up a cs proxy or do you think its worth it? And what do you think is safer, private or payservers. And how can you maximise the safety. Thats not quite correct. If you open a port on the majority of routers then its open regardless of what the dreambox is doing. When the dreambox isn't running cs the port is still open even though the dreambox isn't responding.
External internet requests are still allowed through the router and inside your network - they just wont get a response as the server isn't running. The router itself doesn't know or care if a server is actually listening it will simply do as its told and route all traffic for a particular port to the given device.
In that respect port forwarding is the permanent opening of a port and the routing of that port to a specific internal NAT address. There are several factors that have an effect on your download speeds and performance, and this guide will address the majority of them.
Consider this a starting point to getting better torrent download speeds. Before you can maximize download speeds you will need to install uTorrent. If you've already installed uTorrent you may skip this step. Once on the uTorrent Download Page , download the latest version of uTorrent that is suitable for your operating system.
You should have downloaded a file named " uTorrent. Double click " uTorrent. After you've installed uTorrent you are ready to start optimizing. The first step in getting uTorrent to work properly is finding your uTorrent Listening Port. You can find your uTorrent listening ports by clicking Options and selecting Preferences. You should see your uTorrent Listening Port listed in the upper right of the Preferences dialog box.
Make a note of it, because that is the port that needs to be open for uTorrent to work effectively for you. Note that each install of uTorrent uses a different port, so your port will likely be different than the one shown above. Also, Make sure that the Randomize port each start checkbox is not checked. You do not want the port that you need to forward changing each time uTorrent starts. If uTorrent is currently open, you will need to completely close it at this time. Make sure that the green uTorrent icon is not still hiding in your notification area next to your clock.
If it is, right click on it and choose "Exit". Before moving forward to things like selecting torrents, seeders, and leachers, we need to verify that your port is open. We recommend downloading our free Open Port Check Tool to test if incoming connections are being allowed through your router on your uTorrent Listening Port. There are many ways to check if your port is open available around the Internet. So, why do we so strongly recommend the our Open Port Check Tool?
Can someone help on this issue? Thanks, chapas. Funktioniert das ganze auch auf oe2. Given up, changed to transmission, works like a charm. I get the following error message: screen: error while loading shared libraries: libncurses. Maybe someone can help me? Thank you in advance. Previously we mentioned about the way to flash Dreambox DMs using FlashWizard , but in case for any reason that your decoder is not detectable or hang half way not even booted into the Linux GUI, here is another simple steps that you can try recovering your system using Universal DreamUp utility with RS serial COM port commonly found in Dreambox decoders.
First, make sure that you have the right type of null modem serial RS COM cable that can be purchased in electronics shop. In other word, there are only 3 pins that are required for connectivity, namely pin 2, 3 and pin 5.
